Hembre Gård offers fly fishing for wild Atlantic salmon in one of Norway's best rivers.

Stjørdalselva is internationally known for its accessibility and is referred to by several as "the perfect river for fly fishing" with its varying rapids, bends and deep holes.
Hembre Gård has several good fishing spots that "hold" a lot of salmon throughout the season. Here, the opportunities for catching are great on all water courses, ranging from 20 – 300 m3. About 2.2 km of fishing from both sides is available to you who book your salmon fishing here with us. Most easily accessible with varying degrees of difficulty. Annual catches of around 200 salmon, of which around 80% are returned to the river. About 10% of the annual catch in Stjørdalselva is taken at Hembre's pools, at the beginning of June this is often up to 15% of the total catch for the river.
We have 9 well-known fishing spots of varying length that contain several "pools" that hold fish.

Fishing environment and community
Everyone lives together on the farm. Several common areas with barbecue areas and seating areas.
There is a special environment around the salmon fishing during each week, which many people greatly appreciate. Friendships arise and memories and experiences are created.
Equipment
and assistance
We have a collaboration with Nordisk Fiskeutstyr (Nordic Fishing Equipment) and in our farm shop you will find fly fishing equipment needed, and we also have a small corner where you can tie your own flies.
We can get most things if you order in advance and it is possible to speak directly with one of our guides if you have any wishes or questions about your fishing here at Hembre.
We can pick-up from Trondheim Airport Værnes if you fly in, but we recommend that you have a means of transport here during the week. Most of the fishing is within walking distance, but some require transport.
Just get in touch and we can arrange a reasonable rental car, or you can rent one of our electric mopeds, which are well suited during your stay here at Hembre.
We also sell salmon fishing packages with full board tailored to your wishes. It is subject to the condition that you take all rods over half a/full week.
A stay at Hembre farm with fly fishing for salmon
This is a standard week at Hembre with flyfishing for salmon.
Check-in at the Lodge/apartment from 14:00. Usually on Sundays.
All our apartments have their own kitchen for self-catering, their own bathroom and toilet.
Gathering at the storehouse with "salmon waffles", followed by a guided tour on all pools. We have rotation fishing 2 and 2 - this is drawn during the welcome meeting.
6 pm - fishing starts. Guide is usually included during the stay.
Fishing ends by agreement, usually it is possible to fish a little after check-out if desired.
Check out room at 9 am.

Guiding
Hembre farm has guides who know Hembre, Stjørdal river and the art of swinging the fly rod very well.
We have guides who is available all summer. We also offer tailored guiding and courses on request.
The farm shop
As a framing of the yard here at Hembre Gård, we find the farm shop. Here, in collaboration with Nordisk Fiskeutstyr (Nordic Fishing Equipment), we have a good selection of what you need in lines, flies and other consumables..
In addition, you can find everything from waders, shoes and rods. On request, we can get you what you want, and have everything ready until you come here for the fishing week.
In the farm shop, we also sell local food. Among other things, from the farm's own resources with products from moose and deer. In addition, we have some profile clothing and other food and clothing products from local businesses nearby.
The farm shop is mainly for our guests who live on the farm, we will possibly announce other opening times.
