The start of the season 2021

The first weeks of June here on Hembre Gård.

An ok start with catches all over the river. There are many indications that we had a good run in May. Good water level, little new fish is something that characterized the fishing the first 3 weeks here. Hembre is somewhat left on the catches. Normally we are at 15-20% of total catch here in June, but low fishing pressure and somewhat unfavorable water level must take some of the blame for that. Still, everyone is happy and the average weight is great. Probably the biggest of the year came on premiere week. It will be difficult to beat 121 cm who came to Fuldseth during the premiere week. We regret that we have not kept up to date on every week that we use to do. It has been a busy spring with a lot of back and forth compared to covid-19. Now most things seem to be in order. We had 2 weeks canceled this year due to entry bans, but now from 1 July it looks like everyone who has booked a week here with us will get to come. Everything can only get better now we think.

We look forward to the continuation of the season. The catches will probably come and we look forward to already next week to see some of our Swedish friends here again at Hembre Gård.
