The start of the salmon fishing season 2022

Salmon fishing and the season so far
We are writing June 14 here at Hembre Gård. Over 30 salmon landed so far when we are now in the third week with guests. Optimal conditions with enough water and nice temperatures together with a good run of fresh silver salmons from the fjord. We hope it lasts through the summer. Average weight of around 8 kg so far.
We have been very much looking forward to start this season without a pandemic and hopefully normal conditions. We also know that all visitors have looked forward to it. We meet again with guests who have rolled over 2 seasons and are really looking forward coming back. We had a visit to the premiere here from Skjerva Lodge. They attended a dinner from our new kitchen and it was a really pleasant evening with several nationalities. Take a look at what Pontus writes on his blog: Salmoniserad

Tackle shop now up at the farm
In collaboration with Nordisk Fiskeutstyr, we have a wide selection for you who fish with us. We can get most things if you order in advance and we have what you need if the need is new lines, flies, etc. Rods, waders, shoes, etc. are also in the assortment. Eventually it will also be possible to tie your own fly here with the assistance of our guides.
We are also very proud of our chef guide Hajas who in addition to the guiding here at Hembre is an ambassador in Guideline. He has made a series of tube flies named after some of our fishing pools.
Take a look at HA tube fly series in Guideline blog.
Cake electric motorbikes for rent. Unique type of vehicle transport to and from the river.
Youth fishing / recruitment for salmon fishing.
Her finner du info rundt ungdoms-/rekrutteringsfisket i sommer
We continue as in previous years with an offer of fishing for young people and a collaboration with others on recruiting a little at all ages for this activity which in recent years is starting to have a high average age. A successful event from Rune Sagen and Kristoffer Sæther Saksvik. Read more here in Stjørdalsnytt
Projects and plans ahead here at Hembre.
We have had a busy winter and spring here at Hembre. We recently decided to close down the operation at Hembre Camping after flood damage that hit us for the second time in less than a year. At the same time, we have had a major project with renovation and completion of a new kitchen here on the farm in the old storage houses. Now we have every opportunity to offer even more service to our customers during the summer and autumn season, but also throughout the winter as time goes on.
We now have every opportunity to further develop existing and new concepts here on the farm. Both on fishing and hunting experiences as well as other experiences throughout the year with food and good experiences in this regard. Maybe in partnership with someone or renting out our premises in this connection. We have an ongoing project in this connection and will gradually come up with more exciting news during this year. We look forward to the continuation and new opportunities in the future :-)
A new website is being prepared and we will be in a new outfit this autumn. Along the way and until further notice, we will update on our Instagram account - both on how the fishing season goes and news from our projects.

Stay tuned!
Best regards
